Siddu says he faces no competition from KJP candidate

Bangalore :  Senior Congress leader and opposition leader Siddaramaiah has said that he faces no competition  from the KJP candidate Kapu Siddalingaswamy and exuded confidence that he would be re-elected from Varuna constituency by a  minimum margin of 20,000 votes.

Siddaramaiah who is indisposed and is under treatment at a private hospital in the city, while speaking to reporters, said his reputation will be at stake if he spoke anything more about the KJP candidate.
He said last time he had won by a margin of 16000 votes and added this time he will win by a margin of 20,000 votes. ‘The developmental programmes which I have initiated in my constituency will be a blessing for me,’ he said.

“ I am not afraid of my opponent whoever he may be as I am confident that the voters are in my favour,” Siddu said.

On the Chief Ministerial candidate of the Congress, Siddaramaiah said it was left for the High command to decide in case the party comes to power. He said the Congress list of candidates will be announced in a couple of days and added resentment is natural when the number of aspirants are more.

He said there is an improvement in his health condition  and added an infection due to a gall bladder stone had created some trouble. He said he was undergoing a minor surgery on Thursday and that everything will be fine after that.
