Bengaluru: The Cabinet has approved Karnataka Cyber Security Policy 2022 – 27, and the State Government has set aside Rs 103.87 Crore to implement the same.
The Policy aims at ensuring data security in the State as it is in the second place as far as incidents of cyber crime in the country is concerned. Cyber security subsidy for start-ups, internship, stipends and grants for undergraduate, postgraduate and research students have also been announced under the policy.
A state-of-the-art virtual cyber range to strengthen practical skills among students of cyber security training programmes too has been proposed in the policy.
