Bengaluru: The Hijab issue should have been nipped in the bud by the State Government said JD (S) Leader and Former Prime Minister H. D. Deve Gowda on Thursday February 17.
Speaking to mediapersons here, he said that the Hijab issue was getting serious now, and the government should not have allowed the issue to grow to this level. It should have controlled the matter, earlier, he observed.
The State Government should respond to the ragi farmers problems, JD (S) Supremo said, and urged Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai and Agriculture Minister B. C. Patil must look into the issue. Ragi Minimum Support Price (MSP) must be increased to Rs. 4000 from Rs. 3,377 for per quintal.
He also said that, he would visit Delhi on Sunday February 20 and seek an appointment with Prime Minister Narendra Modi to raise the concerns of farmers.
