Team Abhaya’s Cyclothon, held on November 10, was a remarkable success, drawing 87 cyclists from various cycling groups including Go Green, WCC, and Fearless Cycling Group. The event, which began and ended at Cubbon Park, covered routes through Mayo Hall, Ulsoor Lake, and Cubbon Road, all in the spirit of raising awareness about sexual violence and creating a safer society.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to our generous sponsors: Karnataka Milk Federation for providing milkshakes and cookies, BSLA (Bangalore Sports Lovers Association), and Cycles to Go for sponsoring the bicycles. Their support made this event even more impactful.
A special thank you goes to Bangalore Police for ensuring the rally went smoothly without any traffic disruptions, and to our medical partner, GKFI, for being there in case of any emergencies.
The event was organized by Payel Sengupta, Debmalya Bhattacharyya, Sudhir Kumar, and Pritam Thakur, whose dedication was key to the success of the day. Additionally, the team organized a Signature Campaign, which will be submitted to the Home Minister of Karnataka to push for action on making our society safer.
