gogoi assamBengaluru: A techie working with an IT MNC in Bengaluru has joined the United Liberation Front of Assam (ULFA) in Assam, giving the Bengaluru police a big shock.

Abhijith Gogoi had previously worked as a techie for various IT companies since the year 2012 after completing his BE and MBA, before reportedly deciding to join the ULFA. He reportedly made his decision public in a 3.45-minute long video.

In the video, Gogoi claimed that the indigenous tribals in Assam are facing a threat. “So, I am quitting my job and joining the outfit,” he said.

According to the city police, he completed his MBA from a city college and worked for many IT majors in the city.

“We are closely following the developments. Efforts will be made to find out if there are any sleeper recruitment cells functioning here,” said the city police.
