Emotional first corporate visit

In his caption, Buddarapu described the visit as a deeply emotional experience for both of them.

“On last Friday, I did something every Googler wants to do. I took my Nanna to visit @google Ananta with me. It is his first corporate office visit and he was surprised with everything in the office. It’s a very emotional moment for me and him as we come from a very small background from a village,” he wrote.

He added that his father was overwhelmed and proud to see the environment where his son works. According to Buddarapu, his father was especially surprised by the range of facilities provided to employees, including recreational spaces and high-quality dining areas.

“He was so happy and proud to see me working here. He was shocked to see that a corporate office is providing many facilities for their employees. He understood the effort I put into getting a job here, and it finally paid off,” he said.

The video shows the proud father strolling through the lush green campus, interacting with his surroundings and sharing light moments with his son. The duo is also seen enjoying coffee together and playing arcade games inside the office premises.

Inside Google’s Bengaluru campus

Google inaugurated its new Bengaluru office campus in February 2025. Spanning approximately 16 lakh square feet (1.6 million square feet), the campus is designed as a modern, collaborative workspace inspired by the city’s unique character.

Each floor follows a city-grid layout, organised into team-based “neighbourhoods”. At the centre of the campus is an amphitheatre-style gathering space called Sabha, intended for company-wide meetings and events.

Drawing inspiration from Bengaluru’s greenery, the campus features landscaped spaces, walking and jogging paths, and a specially designed forest-themed area called ‘Aranya’, which also functions as a natural noise barrier. The infrastructure incorporates locally sourced materials, reflecting a blend of sustainability and contemporary design.

For Buddarapu’s father, the visit offered a glimpse into a corporate environment vastly different from the rural background he comes from. The contrast between village life and a global technology company’s campus added emotional depth to the experience.

Social media reactions pour in

As the clip gained traction online, social media users flooded the comments section with messages of appreciation and encouragement.

“You make every parent proud beta,” wrote one user. Another commented, “This is my dream. I will give my father every happiness in the world. Proud of you.”

Many users highlighted the importance of acknowledging parents’ sacrifices and sharing milestones with them. Some said the video reminded them of their own journeys and aspirations to make their families proud.

The post has been widely shared, with viewers describing it as “pure”, “inspiring” and “wholesome”.

A symbol of aspiration

Beyond its viral appeal, the video underscores a broader narrative about education, opportunity and upward mobility in India’s technology sector. For many young professionals from small towns and villages, securing a position at a global firm like Google represents years of dedication and perseverance.

By taking his father to the campus, Buddarapu not only celebrated his personal achievement but also honoured the support system that made it possible.

The touching moment serves as a reminder that professional success often carries emotional significance beyond titles and salaries. For this father and son, the tour of the Bengaluru campus was not just a visit — it was a shared milestone marking how far they had come together.
