Bengaluru: State government which is under immense pressure following the demolition of Mahadevamma temple in Nanjangud taluk, now made the local tahsildar a scapegoat.
Nanjangud tahsildar Mohana Kumari has been transferred for carrying out the drive against the illegally built temple.
The ruling BJP was under attack by RSS affiliated groups like Bhajarangadal, VHP and so on to take action against the officer responsible for the demolition of the temple.
They warned a protest if the government fails to act. Under pressure now Mohana Kumari has been transferred.
Earlier she had met former CM B.S. Yediyurappa explaining her stand.
