Bengaluru:Theft has been reported at State Election Commissioner P N Srinivasachari’s house here in Sanjay Nagara’s Postal Colony in Bengaluru and miscreants stole jewelry and cash.

The incident happened when P N Srinivasachari went to Mysuru with his family on December 22 and returned on December 29. His son Gowtham filed a complaint at Sanjay Nagara station regarding the same. “Two miscreants entered the house and stole the jewellery and cash. However, the complainants didn’t mention about the value,” the Sanjay Nagara police said.

Newspapers were scattered in front of the house and electric bulbs were switched on for 24 hours. This helped miscreants to make out that nobody is in home. Three CCTV cameras were installed outside the house and four were installed inside. The thieves tied cloths to the CCTV.

“The movements of thieves were captured in one camera installed inside the house. Two persons with cloths tied to the face wandered across the house. The thieves also untied the cloths for sometimes. Based on this we can make out their faces. Steps have been taken to capture them at the earliest,” one of the policemen said.
