Bengaluru: Tourism minister CT Ravi, who is also the Chikkamagalur district in-charge minister and minister for Kannada and Culture resigned from the minister post.
He met CM BS Yediyurappa on Saturday late night and submitted his resignation.
Ravi was recently appointed as the BJP National Secretary. Following this the MLA resigned for the post as per the one-leader-one post policy of the party.
The CM is likely to accept his resignation, which will help him to accommodate another leader in the cabinet.
Soon after his promotion within the party, rumours were floating that Ravi was all set to resign from the ministerial post.
However, Ravi had only said that he was a dedicated soldier of the party who will act as per the directions of the party.
