Tumakuru: Based on a tip-off received from the Police Station, a group of people were arrested for playing cards near Siddaraju’s Farm at Kurankote Village in Channarayanadurga Hobli under Koratagere Police Station limits.
Siddaraju and seven others have been arrested.
On the evening of Saturday, a group of people were playing the game Andar Baahar. The Police attacked those who were gambling and seized Rs 10,140 and other items used in the act from the people who were engaged in gambling. Cash, eight mobile phones, six two-wheelers, 52 cards and one plastic paper have been suspended.
A suo motu case has been registered at Koratagere Police statyion in this regard. Further investigation is underway.
