Tumakuru: The driver of the tractor, who was driving a tractor that was transporting sand illegally absconded after he saw the policemen who came to a mud road on Bittanakurike in Betta Shambhonahalli Village of Channarayanadurga Hobli of the Taluk.
It is learnt that the sand-laden tractor was on its way to the mud path near Siddaraju’s shed when the driver saw the policemen in uniform and left the tractor behind. The sand-laden tractor was then brought to the police station with the help of the public.
The address of the tractor driver has been traced and it is learnt that the driver Raghu alias Doddarangappa was transporting sand without any licence.
Koratagere Police has registered a case in this regard.
