Tumakuru: The Home Department has a separate board for the transfer of police officers. The transfer will take place through this board. Home Minister Araga Jnanendra made it clear that no officer will be transferred with his signature on the letter.

Speaking to mediapersons here in the City, he said, “Our Government’s intention is that no police officer should be paid for the transfer. Therefore, the transfers will take place through the board,” he said.

An investigation into the death of Inspector Nandish is underway. However, we don’t know who has paid bribe for the transfer and who has received it. I don’t even know in what sense Minister M. T. B Nagaraju has said this,” he said.

“There is a proposal to increase the age limit for police recruitment. However, the deadline for applying for appointment has also been extended by another month, he said.
