Tumakuru: Recently the MLA from Tumakuru Rural Constituency D. C. Gaurishankar cheated the people by issuing fake bonds in the last 2018 elections, so that the High Court moved to disqualify his MLA seat.
Gaurishankar had recently moved the Supreme Court challenging the long-argued High Court verdict in a single line. There is no hindrance to contest the election as his appeal is accepted, he can contest only as the case has been put on hold for the time being.
After getting permission to contest the elections from the Supreme Court, MLA D. C. Gaurishankar’s supporters and JDS workers celebrated by distributing fireworks and sweets in the constituency. In the Tumakuru countryside, there will be a fierce competition between the JDS and the BJP, and it remains to be seen who the voters will turn to.
