Tumakuru: Priest dies while attempting to rescue dog in Kunigal

Tumakuru: In a tragic incident, a two-wheeler rider lost control and rammed into the divider of the road, killing the pillion rider on the spot. The incident has been reported from Chiganipalya Village on TM Road of State Highway 33 in Kottagere Hobli of the taluk on Friday October 14.

The deceased has been identified as Nataraj Dixit (55), a resident of Kamanahalli Village in the taluk.The incident took place in Kunigal Police Station limits, when the priest Nataraj Dixit and his son Srikanta Dixit were coming to Kunigal town on a two-wheeler while the dog came in the way of the two-wheeler near the bus stand in Chiganipalya Village .The bike rider tried to save it and lost control of the bike and hit the road divider.

Kunigal Police has registered a case and are investigating.
