Tumakuru: JDS leader Belli Lokesh said that he was fed up with the behaviour of the candidate from the Urban constituency and was resigning from the post of JDS State General Secretary.
Speaking at a press conference he said that he has worked hard to build the JDS party for the last 20 years. He has given vigour to the party in Kolar and Chikkaballapura, but there has been an attempt to make it stronger in Tumakuru district.
In 2013 he asked for a ticket to contest the election, which was refused. The tickets were given to those who did not work for the party. They left after the election was over. The same situation continued in 2018, he noted.
He alleged that when Nikhil Kumaraswamy came to Tumakuru to submit his nomination papers, he was not called to submit his nomination papers, at the beginning of the Pancharatna Yatra.
Those who worked for the party their followers were ignored, and fed up with the behaviour of the candidate who did not have the mentality to bring everyone together, I resigned from the party post, saying that I cannot do politics with such people.
JDS leader Devaraju also said that he has submitted his resignation from the party membership.
