Two–day Investor summit at IEC from Nov 23

Bengaluru: A two-day investor summit to encourage micro, small and medium industries has been planned at the International Exhibition Centre (IEC) here from November 24, said Minister for Heavy, Medium Industries and Infrastructure Development R V Deshpande.

Chief Minister Siddaramiah will inaugurate the summit, where exhibition and panel discussions will be held. Around 1000 stalls are available for manufacturers, retailers to showcase their products and services and few stalls are given free for participants to promote investment in the state. The summit and the exhibition aim towards industrial development in the state, where 300 large and 700 micro, small and medium scale industries are expected to take part.

A total of six seminars have been planned during the 2-day summit where technocrats, elected representatives and investors will offer their presentations on diverse issues related to investment. The summit provides an ideal platform for developing industries to draw the attention of investors.

Cultural programmes have been planned on the first day and best export and best manufacturer awards will be given away on the second day at the valedictory function.
