Two held for selling ganja, one escapes

Bengaluru: The City Crime Branch (CCB) sleuths have arrested one persons for selling ganja near a skywalk, opposite to Gopalan Cinemas on Mysuru Road in Chamarajapet police limits.

The police have identified the accused as Asif alias Athaulla, 51, a resident of Valimikinagar in Bengaluru.

The police have seized one kg and 100 grams of ganja from the accused besides cash and one mobile phone. The police said the accused used to get ganja from other gang members and sell to the clients in small packets.

A case has been registered against the accused in Chamarajpet police station.

In another incident, the CCB police have arrested one person for selling ganja near Geethas Herbal Parlour on Wind Tunnel Road in Jeevan Bhima Nagar police limits.

The police have identified the accused as Vibheesh alias Vibhin, 34, residing at Srinivasa Apartments, Murugeshpalya. The police have launched a manhunt for another accused Nyanesh who is on the run. The police have seized one kg and 200 grams of ganja worth Rs 50,000 and a mobile phone and also cash from the accused person.

A case has been registered against the accused at Jeevan Bhima Nagar police station.
