Bengaluru: The Urban Development Department (UDD) has set March 31 as a deadline for completing all Smart City works in Cubbon Park.
The Chairman of Bengaluru Smart City Limited and the Additional Chief Secretary (UDD) Rakesh Singh reviewed the progress of work at the Jawahar Bal Bhavan on Wednesday March 3. The children’s park is now undergoing work on the boating lake, open-air theatre, and science park. Singh urged the contractors to carry out the work in such a way that it would be comfortable for children. He also asked that scientific methods be adopted in order to help the children.
Jawahar Bal Bhavan Society Chairman Chikkamma Basavaraj, Bengaluru Smart City Limited Managing Director P. Rajendra Cholan, Chief Engineer Vinayak Sugur, Horticulture Department Deputy Director H. T. Balakrishna were present for the inspection.
