Bengaluru: Three Nigerians have been arrested for vandalism inside a detention centre and attacking KISF officers who tried to intervene. The foreigners were arrested on drug-trafficking accusations two weeks ago near Nelamangala in Bengaluru Rural and taken to a centre for overstaying foreigners and illegal immigrants.

The arrested are Chuckwujckwv Chinweuba Antony, Ijeoma Oseji Ogwu, and Chisom Okpusa Jeromiha. They were arrested a few months ago in various parts of the city on drug-peddling charges, and an investigation found that all three had overstayed their visas. Police had taken them to the detention centre for deportation.

The police informed that the three were dissatisfied with the food and would fight with the kitchen workers on a daily. They were also misbehaving with several female employees. They ransacked the kitchen and office on Friday. KISF personnel tried to stop them after being alerted by staff, but the three attacked them. Following the incident, they have been sent back to Central Prison.
