Bengaluru: Within few hours of Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa saying that the BJP will win 13 out of 15 seats in the by-polls and that the Congress and the JDS will have to be happy with just one seat each, Congress leader DK Shivakumar had a sarcastic response to the same.
“Why 13? They will win in all the 15 constituencies. Why will they lose in just two constituencies? It will be such an injustice on the two disqualified MLAs,” said the former minister taking a dig at the CM’s statement.
“The BJP has already made injustice to two. Why do the same to two more,” he questioned.
Later, speaking about the government’s decision to cancel the medical college sanctioned for Kanakapura, DKShi’s home constituency, he said that there is no way that he will allow the government to take away the medical college.
“I have already written a letter to the CM to make sure that the medical college comes up in Kanakapura. I will not allow them to relocate the college,” he said adding that the CM is not doing the right thing by cancelling the college allocated to his constituency.
Hinting at a possible protest, DKShi said that he will stage a stir if his demand is not met. “You don’t need thousands of people to stage a protest,” he said.
