Bengaluru: A Bengaluru woman has alleged that a delivery agent forcibly entered her apartment and flashed her after she repeatedly refused his request to use her washroom. The allegations, shared on social media, have sparked concern over women’s safety and prompted a response from Bengaluru Police.
In her post, the woman said the delivery agent arrived at her residence to deliver a parcel and requested permission to use the toilet. She claimed she politely declined several times and suggested that he seek assistance from nearby neighbours instead.
Woman alleges agent ignored repeated refusals
According to the woman, the delivery agent ignored her repeated refusals, removed his slippers and entered her home without her consent.
She further alleged that after using the washroom, the man exposed himself to her before leaving the premises.
Describing the incident, she said she felt “shocked, violated and humiliated”, adding that a woman’s refusal should always be respected and that no one has the right to force their way into another person’s home.
Victim says she feared for her safety
The woman said she feared for her safety throughout the incident. She claimed she kept her phone camera switched on, left the main door open and remained close to the entrance so she could seek help if the situation escalated.
She added that the incident left her traumatised and feeling unsafe in her own home.
Police seek details to verify allegations
Taking note of the social media post, Bengaluru Police responded online and requested the woman to share further details so the allegations could be verified.
Police said they are awaiting additional information before initiating legal action and conducting a detailed investigation into the matter.
The allegations have not yet been independently verified, and the investigation is expected to proceed after the complainant provides the necessary details to the police.
