Bengaluru: A Bengaluru woman has alleged that she was targeted in a cash-on-delivery (COD) parcel scam after a delivery executive arrived at her doorstep with a package worth ₹500 that she claims she never ordered.
The incident, captured in a now-viral Instagram video, has reignited concerns about fraudulent COD deliveries and the need for customers to verify unexpected parcels before making payments.
Woman questions unexpected parcel
In the widely shared video, the woman is seen confronting the delivery executive, repeatedly insisting that she had never placed the order.
“I never ordered anything,” she says, questioning why she was being asked to pay for the parcel.
The delivery executive reportedly maintained that the parcel had been booked in her name and requested payment before handing it over. However, the woman refused to accept the package, arguing that she could not pay for an item she had never purchased.
