Bengaluru: A woman allegedly fought back against a man who sexually harassed her on a Bengaluru Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) bus, with the incident gaining widespread attention after a video went viral on social media.

The incident reportedly took place on a Route 500D BMTC bus travelling from Hebbal towards Manyata Tech Park along the Outer Ring Road (ORR). The woman refused to remain silent and immediately alerted the bus driver after the alleged harassment.

Driver acts swiftly after being alerted

According to information shared online, BMTC driver Praveen responded without delay by stopping the bus and confronting the accused.

During the confrontation, the accused allegedly spat at the driver, prompting Praveen to physically restrain him. A video circulating on social media appears to show the tense exchange inside the bus, drawing praise from many users for both the woman’s courage and the driver’s prompt action.
