Work-from-home offer: Miscreants cheat four in B’luru

Bengaluru: According to sources, four persons have filed complaints in Jayanagar alleging two miscreants and a private firm of cheating several people by promising them work-from-home jobs.

The complainants said that the firm offered data entry jobs and demanded a security deposit of Rs. 3,500-7,000 and an application fee of Rs. 200 from each person.

On Sunday November 28, Amrut (38) of West of Chord Road, West Bengaluru, Mohan Das R., Pallavi and L. G. Ramesh went to the Jayanagar Police Station and filed a cheating case against Arjun and Pavan, who took Rs. 200 as an application fee and Rs. 7,000 as a security deposit.

Police informed that Ramesh lost Rs. 3,700, Mohan Rs. 5,200 and Pallavi Rs. 3,700.
