Bengaluru: A 24-year-old woman, Kriti Kumari, was found strangled to death in her paying guest (PG) accommodation in Koramangala’s VR Layout, Bengaluru, late on Tuesday night. The accused, suspected to be an acquaintance, entered the PG with a knife and slit Kriti’s throat before escaping.
Kriti, a native of Bihar, worked in a private company in Bengaluru. The incident occurred around 11:10 pm near her room on the 3rd floor. Koramangala Police and South East Division DCP Sara Fatima visited the site and inspected the area.
The main cause of the incident is attributed to a security failure at the PG. A case has been registered at the Koramangala police station, and further investigation is underway. The incident has raised concerns about the safety and security of PG accommodations in the city.
