Bidar Residents Stranded in Uzbekistan After Job Scam

Bidar Residents Stranded In Uzbekistan After Job Scam

Fourteen men from Bidar district, lured by promises of high-paying jobs, are now stranded in Uzbekistan with no access to food, water, or shelter. The men, who are from Basavakalyan, Humnabad, and other areas in the district, claim they were deceived by agents who took substantial amounts of money from them.

The individuals reported paying Rs 1.2 lakh each to the agents, only to find themselves jobless and in dire conditions upon arrival in Uzbekistan. They have stated that some members of their group have died due to the harsh circumstances. In a video message, the stranded men expressed their distress and pleaded for urgent intervention.

They have appealed to both Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Siddaramaiah to assist in their rescue and facilitate their return to India. The situation highlights the dangers of fraudulent job schemes and the urgent need for support to ensure the safety and well-being of those affected.

The Bidar district authorities are reportedly coordinating with the Indian embassy in Uzbekistan to address the issue and facilitate the safe return of the stranded individuals.
