BRIMS Staff Saves 40 Infants After Oxygen Supply Failure

Oxygen

On Wednesday, the staff at Bidar Institute of Medical Sciences (BRIMS) acted swiftly to save 40 infants from potential danger after an electric short circuit disrupted the oxygen supply at the district hospital. The short circuit was caused by heavy overnight showers that flooded the generator room in the building’s basement, affecting the power supply to the NICU unit on the sixth floor.

 Quick Response by BRIMS Staff

Realising the urgency of the situation, the staff quickly relocated all 40 newborns from the NICU to other hospitals, ensuring their safety. In addition to saving the infants, the nursing staff managed to assist an elderly person by providing him with oxygen using a hand pump.
