BIDAR: A tragic accident on National Highway-65 in Basavakalyan taluk has resulted in the deaths of a pedestrian and a motorcyclist. The victims have been identified as Gulchand Gayakwad (40), the pedestrian, and Ajay (21), the biker.

The incident occurred when Gulchand was walking along the roadside, and Ajay’s motorcycle, traveling at high speed from the opposite direction, struck him. The impact was so severe that Gulchand was dragged over 500 meters before the motorcycle finally came to a halt. Shortly after stopping, the motorcycle caught fire.

The entire incident was captured on CCTV cameras, and a case has been registered at the Basavakalyan Traffic police station for further investigation.
