Madrid: BTS member Jungkook delighted fans with a nearly four-hour livestream on Weverse following the group’s two sold-out ARIRANG World Tour concerts in Madrid, Spain. During the interaction, the singer responded to fans’ marriage proposals with humour, praised fellow BTS member J-Hope, shared his excitement for the upcoming Spider-Man: Brand New Day and entertained ARMY with candid conversations.

The livestream quickly became a trending topic as fans celebrated Jungkook’s playful personality and interactions following the successful conclusion of the Europe leg opener of BTS’ world tour.

Jungkook responds to marriage proposals

One of the most talked-about moments from the livestream came when fans once again flooded the comments with the familiar “Marry me” request.

Laughing at the repeated proposals, Jungkook clarified that marriage is not currently part of his plans.

“I still don’t have plans to get married,” he told fans before jokingly redirecting the proposal to fellow BTS member Suga.

He playfully said fans should instead ask “Yoongi hyung” to marry them, drawing laughter from viewers and reviving one of the fandom’s oldest inside jokes.

The ‘Yoongi, marry me’ joke returns

Jungkook’s comment referenced the long-running “Yoongi, marry me” meme that has become a staple within the BTS fandom.

The joke dates back to 2018, when a fan asked Suga during a livestream if he would marry them.

Responding with his trademark deadpan humour, Suga jokingly replied that the fan should “bring the documents.”

Since then, the phrase has become a recurring joke among ARMY members worldwide, appearing on concert placards, fan merchandise and livestream comments.

Other BTS members, including Jungkook, V and J-Hope, have also referenced the meme over the years.

Jungkook praises J-Hope

During the livestream, Jungkook also spoke about filming a recent TikTok dance challenge with J-Hope.

He revealed that he initially wanted to re-record the video because he felt he had hesitated during the performance.

However, after learning that J-Hope had bruised his toenail, Jungkook decided against asking him to film another take.

The singer praised J-Hope’s dance skills, saying his movements looked incredibly effortless and credited his years of street dance experience.

Calling him “Team Leader Jung,” Jungkook described his fellow BTS member as “cool” and “truly amazing.”

Excited for Spider-Man’s next adventure

Jungkook also spent part of the livestream reacting to the trailer for Spider-Man: Brand New Day, starring Tom Holland.

Although he said he has always admired Iron Man, Jungkook admitted that Spider-Man remains his favourite Marvel superhero.

His comments delighted both BTS fans and Marvel enthusiasts, adding another memorable moment to the lengthy broadcast.

BTS continues ARIRANG World Tour

The livestream followed BTS’ successful back-to-back concerts in Madrid, where thousands of ARMY members filled the venue and sang along to the group’s performances.

After launching the European leg of the ARIRANG World Tour in Spain, BTS is scheduled to perform in Brussels, London, Munich and Paris as the tour continues across Europe.

The group’s latest performances have once again highlighted BTS’ global popularity, with sold-out venues and enthusiastic fan support throughout the tour.
