Cash Monitoring Measures with Election Code of Conduct in Force

With the enforcement of the election code of conduct following the announcement of Lok Sabha poll dates, the administration in Dakshina Kannada district is taking proactive steps to ensure compliance.

Check posts have been established at various strategic points across the district to monitor individuals carrying cash and valuables exceeding Rs 50,000. Those found without relevant documentation may face FIR charges. Additionally, individuals transporting cash for wedding or business-related purposes must possess invitation cards or relevant business documents.

Presently, there are 23 check-posts strategically positioned in Dakshina Kannada district, including locations such as Charmadi, Naravi, Beluvayi-Karkala, Bappanadu, Maroor, Todar-Edapadavu, Kulur, Mukka, Eshwaramangala, Saradka, Jalsoor, Sampaje, Gundya, Adamkudru, Nanthoor, Kottara, Talapady, Mudipu, Nettila Padavu, Anekal, Salethur, Nellikatte, and Panaje.
