Stone-Pelting Incident at Chikkaballapur MLA Pradeep Eshwar’s Home Office

Stone Pelting Incident At Chikkaballapur Mla Pradeep Eshwar's Home Office

CHIKKABALLAPUR: Unidentified miscreants pelted stones at the home office of Chikkaballapur MLA Pradeep Eshwar in Kandavara on Tuesday night. The stone-throwing occurred behind the house, resulting in significant damage to a large window.

On Wednesday morning, a police team led by Deputy SP Shivakumar visited the house and reviewed CCTV footage, which showed a few people moving suspiciously behind the house. Police Superintendent D L Nagesh also visited the MLA’s home office, while a forensic team collected evidence.

The incident coincided with the announcement of the Lok Sabha election results, where BJP’s Dr. K Sudhakar emerged victorious. Supporters of MLA Pradeep Eshwar have urged the police to swiftly apprehend the culprits, warning of potential protests if no action is taken.

Shortly after being elected as MLA, Pradeep Eshwar had rented the house, and this is the first such incident. “Around 11 pm, about 3-4 people came and threw stones at the house, breaking a window. The police are checking the CCTV footage,” said Chetan, the MLA’s brother.

Munikrishna, a staffer at the home office, recounted, “I was in the room with two other staffers. When we were preparing to sleep, we heard the sound of the stone breaking the glass. We came out and saw some people running. Nothing like this had happened in the last year.”

Chikkaballapur SP D L Nagesh told Public TV, “Last night, some unidentified people threw stones at the MLA’s home office and damaged a window. We have registered a case and taken up further investigation.”
