Chikkamagaluru: A tragic incident occurred on the outskirts of Chikkamagaluru city, resulting in the deaths of a labourer at Vidya Coffee Curing near Kurubarahalli. The accident happened when one of the workers was repairing a boiler, leading to a sudden burst due intense heat.
Uday (27), a laborer from Kushalanagar, was repairing the boiler when a sudden release of 340 DC heat occurred. The intense heat burned Uday’s body severely, and despite being immediately admitted to the hospital, he succumbed to his injuries without receiving treatment.
The tragedy has left the community in mourning, with coffee curing workers gathering near the mortuary as news of the incident spread.
A case has been registered at the Chikmagalur Rural Police Station, and an investigation is underway to determine the exact circumstances leading to the fatal accident.
