40 Cong MLAs Contemplate Resignation Over Fund Shortages, Claims MP Karjol

Govind Karjol

Chitradurga: In a startling revelation, MP Govinda Karjol has stated that 40 Congress MLAs are considering resigning due to a lack of funds for developmental works in their constituencies.

Speaking to reporters, he attributed the fund shortage to the implementation of the guarantee scheme without proper planning or budgeting. He highlighted the grievances of Muddebihal MLA C.S. Nadgouda, who has openly expressed dissatisfaction with the current government’s financial management.

Karjol criticized the government for depleting the state’s treasury and resorting to increasing fuel prices to finance the guarantee schemes. He also accused the government of misallocating Rs 24,000 crore intended for SCP-TSP schemes, which were supposed to benefit Scheduled Castes and Tribes.

The MP demanded an immediate reallocation of these funds to ensure the continued progress and development of these communities.
