Bhatkal: An horrific incident has come to light when two fishermen were rescued from the capsized boats in the sea near Bhatkal of Uttara Kannada district.
Early in the morning, as the fishermen were engaged in their fishing activities, strong winds and waves hit their boats, causing two boats to capsize. In one of the boats, two young men managed to hold onto the boat’s edge while struggling in the water, and nearby fishermen came to their rescue. The two young men identified as Ram (42) and Krishna (40) were saved, but the boat and fishing equipment worth lakhs of rupees were lost at the sea, says the sources.
