Karwar: The farmers of Kalaginakoppa Village of Haliyala on Thursday October 6, appealed to the Additional Deputy Commissioner Raju Mogaveera in Karwar that the District Administration should not demarcate the land till the case is over.

Many people have given wrong information to the court in order to get agricultural land of survey number 79, 5 and 20B of Kalaginokoppa Village. Due to this, the court ordered the authorities to measure the land and mark the boundaries of the respective farmers’ land. This will be unfair to us who have been plowing for many years.

Earlier, many people from Haliyala came with lawyers and requested the Additional DC to demarcate the boundaries of the land. But after the court order, we appealed to keep our land. Therefore, he requested the Additional DC not to measure or demarcate the land until the order of the court.

Madhava Naika, President of Jan Shakti Vedike, Swapna Gunagi, Subhash, Parashurama, Sripad and farmers were present.
