Karwar: A lady cop dies on the spot when she came under the wheels of a speeding truck at Murudeshwar on November 17.
Mrudala Acharya (32 ), lady constable working at Murudeshwar Police Station is the deceased.
She was on her way in a Scooty (KA-47 H-1111) to monitor evacuation during road widening works on National Highway No. 66, undertaken by IRB company at the time of the accident.
She was hit by a truck (KL-05-Y-1467) coming from Bhatkal while crossing the road, killing her on the spot.
Mrudala Acharya is survived by jusband and two children.
A case stands registered in Murudeshwar Police Station.
