Kasaragod: Transformer theft case, two held

Kasaragod: The Chittarikkal Police has arrested two persons in connection with the theft of a transformer.

The arrested have been identified as Manikandan (31) and Pushparaj (43), residents of Milunadu. The new transformer, which was to be installed within the Nallombu Section Office Limits of the Kerala Electricity Board, was installed on February 15. The theft took place on the night of Tuesday February 28.

The Assistant Engineer had lodged a complaint with the Chittarikal Police in this regard.

The police have arrested two persons and taken the transformer into custody.

The accused were running a scrap goods business with a focus on Neeleshwara – Pallikara.
