Kasaragod: The body of a youth from West Bengal, who drowned while taking a bath in a stream near Padanakkad, was found on Saturday September 24.
The deceased has been identified as Raj Rai (23), a resident of West Bengal. The incident took place on Friday September 23 afternoon. Rai along with his friends was taking a bath near the dam of Nambiar Kal River in Padanakkad when he drowned.
Firefighters, civilians and the police conducted a search and found the body just a short distance away from the spot. Raj Rai had arrived in Kasargod a few days ago. Bekal Police has registered a case.
