Kasargod: TK Pookoya Thangal, the prime accused of the Fashion Gold Jewellery fraud case has surrendered in the court of Hosadurga on Wednesday August 11.
He was the Managing Director of the Fashion Gold Jewellery has surrendered after 9 months. The police had issued a lookout notice for him. His son Hashim, another accused in the case is still absconding.
Former Manjeshwar MLA M C Kamaruddin was previously arrested for his involvement in the same case. After 93 days in jail, he was released on bail.
Pookoya Thangal was alleged of taking deposits from 749 different people in the name of the fraudulent company, ashion Gold International. More than 148 cases have been registered against him.
