Miscreants pelt stones at buses plying between M’luru, Kasargod

Kasargod: Kerala State Transportation buses were pelted with stones by miscreants on Thursday, December 19 evening. The driver of a bus has suffered severe injuries in the commotion.

The driver identified as Shibu (44), has suffered severe injuries and has been rushed to a hospital in Mangaluru.

Following this incident, all the buses plying between Kasargod and the Dakshina Kannada district have been terminated.

The bus that was targeted was plying from Mangaluru to Kasargod when miscreants pelted stones at it in Uppala. Another bus plying from Mangaluru to Kasargod was also attacked.

Manjeshwar police have registered a case in this regard.

It may be recalled that situation in Mangaluru city turned tense after the protests against Citizenship Amendment Act took a violent turn resulting int two persons dying in police firing. Section 144 has been slammed in the city and a curfew has been imposed in certain areas.
