Mangaluru: Nabaan (22), a youth who had gone for a bath with friends at Devara Gundi of Kuthrottu in Nada Village, Belthangady Taluk of Dakshina Kannada District drowned on Sunday November 28.
Nabaan is the son of Ismail of TB Cross, Kashibettu. He had gone to have bath inti the river with two other companions. When Nabaan was drowning, one of them tried to save Nabaan, who was in danger but Nabaan drowned despite the attempt. He was soon fished out with the help the locals and taken to the Belthangady hospital in an ambulance immediately.
The body is now placed in the mortuary of the Belthangady Government Hospital. Police are interrogating the other two friends of the deceased.
