Mangaluru: Most awaited 6th annual Puzzolana GPL Utsav -2022 will be held on Friday February 25, Saturday February 26 and Sunday February 27. The three-day will be held at Sahyadri College Ground, Adyar on the banks of Nethravathi River in the outskirts of City.
In all 16 teams including Coastal Karnataka, Kerala, Maharashtra, Telangana, and Karnataka will vye for the GPL Trophy. Like every year, this time also the organisers are taking care of food arrangement s for sportsmen. The food is prepared in the food court. People can savour delicacies such as Vada pav of Mumbai, Paneer Stick Manchurian, various other Manchurian items, Veg noodles, Veg Biriyani, Dhokla, Potato Twister, Sugarcane Juice, Cotton Candy, variety of sweets, dosas, local delicacy charmburi, ice -cream varieties, fruits and mocktail on all the three days. Many competitions will be held for have men, ladies and children. Jewellery-making, best out of waste, clay modeling, mehandi, flower decoration, hairstyle, drawing, collage, GSB talent, cooking, poster-making, fancy dress, tug-of-war, rangoli, music workshop, housie-housie, paper lanterns and many more competitions have been organised. Entertainment programmes like lecture by experts, shopping fair, water games, children’s game world, helicopter ride, astrology, Gowda Saraswata Brahmana art, and culture exhibition which includes astrology will also be held. Including Dakshina Kannada District as many as 25,000 GSB community people gather and celebrate the Utsav. Fly-board, a feature which can be found only in seashore of Goa and Kochi has been introduced for the first time to Mangaluru too through this Utsav. The credit goes to GSB organisers. And also the thrill of watching Mangaluru City on helicopter for the first time ever will occur through this Utsav, all thanks go GPL organisers. Along with this, sky rail and lift are introduced for children in kidzone.
The home products made by GSB community members will be exhibited in a separate section. On Friday, the cricket tournament will be inaugurated. Valedictory Ceremony is on Sunday February 27. Zumba dance is one.of the main attractions of this event. Man of the Series will get bike from Pai Sales.
