Activist Teesta Setalvad to address students in M’luru on Jan 29

Mangaluru: Human rights activist Teesta Setalvad will address an interactive session with students at SDM College of Business Management on January 29.

The session on the topic ‘Human Rights and Youth’ is organized under the joint aegis of Centre for Integrated Learning and Campus Career Academy in association with the college in commemoration of Mahatma Gandhi’s death anniversary.

The session will focus on the diverse aspects of understanding human rights issues and its violations and is intended to kindle a sense of responsibility among youth to protect the rights of themselves and others who are victims of such violations, informed S Nandagopal, Convener of Centre for Integrated Learning, a city based NGO working to evolve strategies and interventions that add value to present education system.

The session is open to all students of the city from different colleges.
