Mangaluru: Actor Vinod Alva, who was accused of making an attempt to murder his former aide, was released on bail from the district jail on Wednesday, December 2.
According to sources, the fifth additional district and sessions court at Puttur had granted conditional bail to the actor on Tuesday; however, as the bail papers were not ready yet the actor had to spend another day in the jail.
Speaking to the media, Alva said that the allegations against him were baseless and expressed confidence that he would come out clean.
Alva was arrested on November 16 based on the complaint filed by his former assistant Sachidananda that the actor tried to kill him by running a jeep over him.
