A scheduled Air India flight from the capital city to Mangaluru encountered a substantial delay, causing frustration among passengers. Despite the usual 1.5-hour flying time from Bengaluru to Mangaluru, the flight experienced a remarkable delay of 4.5 hours, leading to inconvenience for travelers.
Originally slated to reach Mangaluru at 8 am from Kempegowda International Airport, the flight eventually commenced its journey at 11.02 am and landed in Mangaluru at 12.04 pm on Sunday. Passengers, who were initially seated inside the aircraft for two hours, later disembarked, with the crew remaining on board.
Expressing his dissatisfaction, a passenger named Ruman took to social media to highlight the situation. According to his post, passengers were kept waiting for 40 minutes at the entrance before being informed of a technical snag, resulting in a two-hour delay in boarding.
In response, Air India Express clarified that the flight experienced delays due to operational issues and reiterated its unwavering commitment to prioritizing the safety of its passengers. The incident underscores the challenges faced by airlines and passengers when unforeseen circumstances impact flight schedules.
