Mangaluru: Apsara Ice Creams first outlet in Mangalore with 50+ flavours of ice creams was inaugurated by Ganesh Kamath, President of Kanara Chamber of Commerce and Industry on Friday, 29th September 2023 at City Gate Commercial Complex, near Jimmys Super Market, Kadri, Mangalore. Apsara Ice Creams has been one of Mumbai’s oldest ice cream brands since 1971. Mangalore outlet is a franchise of Kamakshi Group, Mangalore.
Speaking on the occasion Ganesh Kamath said ‘Mangalore is called the ice cream capital of India and the opening of Apsara ice creams first outlet in the city has added another feather to Mangalore’s cap. He said there is no age limit nor any specific time in the day for eating ice cream as it is loved by one and all throughout the year. He said over the years Mangalore has grown commercially and in the next 5 years it will become a leading industrial hub. He congratulated Manel Srikanth Nayak and Kamakshi Group for taking the Mangalore franchisee of Mumbai’s Apsara Ice Creams and providing wonderful and unique flavours of ice creams like Pani Puri, Guava Glory, Tamarind Twist etc to the people of Mangalore.
Manel Srikanth Nayak partner of Kamakshi Group said ‘As an inaugural offer there will be 50% discount on all the scoop ice creams for one week, starting from today. The outlet will be open from 10 am to midnight 1 am.

About Apsara Ice Creams
Apsara Ice Creams started it’s journey at the prime location of Walkeshwar in South Mumbai in 1971. It is still the flagship store of the brand.
For several years, the focus was on selling mainly at this store and catering to a lot of B2B sales such as weddings, events, etc. It was in 2014 when the 2nd generation entered the business and elevated it to new heights by commencing four new stores in Mumbai’s prime locations such as Powai, Andheri, Lokhandwala and King Circle and later shifting the focus to franchise-based model.
Products were instant hits and Apsara Ice Creams became popular among customers through word of mouth and brand started getting franchise enquiries.
In 2015 the brand opened its first franchise outlet in Nerul after which there was no looking back. By 2017 there were 25 outlets in 3 cities. Based on the growing demand, a 10,000 sq. ft. state of the art factory was set up in Thane from where ice creams are centrally manufactured and distributed.
