Ayushi Dabas’s journey stands as a remarkable testament to the power of determination and resilience. Despite grappling with vision impairment, she has not only pursued her dreams but has also achieved excellence in her chosen field.
Hailing from Rani Khera, Ayushi demonstrated her commitment to academic excellence early on by attending a private school for her primary and secondary education. She continued her educational journey at Shyama Prasad Mukherji College in Delhi, where she obtained her bachelor’s degree before pursuing her master’s degree.
However, Ayushi’s dedication to education transcends personal achievement. For the past decade, she has been enriching young minds as a teacher at a government senior secondary school for girls. Her passion for teaching extends beyond profession—it is a profound calling rooted in her aspiration to empower others, particularly women and those with physical disabilities, to realize their full potential.
Despite encountering visual impairment, Ayushi has not allowed any obstacle to impede her pursuit of success. Leveraging screen reading software, she effectively accesses study materials on her laptop and phone, ensuring thorough preparation for her endeavors.
Her remarkable accomplishment of securing AIR 48 in her fifth attempt at the UPSC serves as a testament to her relentless hard work, unwavering determination, and the invaluable support of her family, notably her mother, Asha Rani. Ayushi’s narrative shines as a beacon of hope and inspiration, affirming that with dedication, resilience, and a supportive network, any obstacle can be surmounted on the journey to success.
