Mangaluru: On Sunday October 3, a number of events were held in the City to celebrate ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ by Mangaluru Smart City Limited.

Vintage cars, scooters, cycle rally, and walkathon were kicked off from A B Shetty Circle by Deputy Commissioner (DC) Dr. Rajendra K. V. and Mayor Premananda Shetty.

Nitin Kumar, President of Fisheries Development Federation, Prashant Kumar Mishra, Chief Whip of MCC Sudhir Shetty Kannur, Sandeep Garodi, Lokesh Bollaje, and corporator Poornima were among those present for the event.

After passing through Clock Tower, Hampankatta Signal, Ambedkar Circle, Bunts Hostel, PVS, M. G. Road, Ballalbagh, Lalbagh, and Ladyhill Circle, the rally ended at the Mangala Stadium.

Mayor Premananda Shetty was accompanied by DC Rajendra and drove a car. At Mangala Stadium, a cultural event was held. Outside the stadium, seafood festival, an art show, an art exhibition, and various stalls were also organised.
