Bantwal: Bantwal police have seized an Omni car, in which three accused were transporting cattle in an inhumane way. The police grew suspicious after they spotted the Omni car on BC Road at the check post.
Siddiq, Nasir and Siddiq, residents of Loretto, who are identified as the accused, managed to escape from the spot after police stopped the vehicle.
The police also said that four cows were found inside the vehicle.
The police are suspecting that they might have stolen those cows from Mudipu and a case has been registered at city police station in this regard.
Bantwal city police station Sub-Inspector Nandakumar, driver Sampath, staff Krishna and Adrama were part of the operation.
