BJP Candidate Capt Brijesh Chowta Vows Development for Lok Sabha

Capt Brijesh Chowta, the BJP candidate for the Dakshina Kannada Lok Sabha constituency, has reaffirmed his dedication to advancing the region in alignment with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of a ‘Viksit Bharat’ (Developed India). Speaking to the media on Thursday, Chowta addressed the challenges facing Dakshina Kannada, particularly in the realms of railway and national highway infrastructure.

Acknowledging Challenges and Vision for Development

Recognizing the unique topography of the district, shaped by the Western Ghats, Chowta emphasized both the advantages and obstacles it presents. He stated, “The Western Ghats are a boon for our district, but they also bring infrastructural challenges. We will consult with experts and build on the work of our predecessors to overcome these challenges.”

Focus on Connectivity and PM Gati Shakti Initiative

Chowta outlined his strategy to enhance connectivity between Mangaluru and Bengaluru, highlighting the improvement of railway and national highway systems under the ‘PM Gati Shakti’ initiative. He stressed the importance of high-speed connectivity for passenger and freight movement, envisioning a ‘Viksit Dakshina Kannada’ achieved through comprehensive development supported by government aid, professional expertise, and local collaboration.

Commitment to Holistic Development

In his commitment to the holistic development of the district, Chowta expressed his intention to work closely with local MLAs and the community. His vision encompasses leveraging governmental support, professional knowledge, and community engagement to propel Dakshina Kannada towards progress and prosperity.
